Post-hurricane conditions have encouraged an afternoon of culinary experimentation: no public transportation, leftover groceries, just enough cabin fever to try something new.
I had some radishes in the fridge and, while I love them raw, I thought it’d be fun to put them in the oven and do something crazy: radish chips!
Makes two-ish servings.
What you’ll use:
2 bunches radishes
1 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp salt (I use truffle salt, it makes everything right with the world)
1/2 tsp paprika
Super sharp knife, microwavable bowl, wax paper or saran wrap, mixing bowl, tin foil, baking dish
What you do:

Cut radish ends off.
Thinly slice.
Place in bowl with a big splash of water (enough to steam for 5 minutes), cover bowl with saran.
Steam in microwave for 5 minutes.
Drain radishes and mix in bowl with spices.
Spread out on tin foil in baking dish.

Bake at 350 for 15 minutes, flip chips, bake for another 15, check – if they’re not crispy yet, go for another 10.
Let cool for a few minutes. Nosh all day.
